Prince Harry recently spoke out about what he considers to be his biggest regret — not talking about his mother's tragic death sooner.
Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. Prince Harry was only 12; his brother, Prince William, was 15. Prince Harry recently opened up about the fact that he didn’t start discussing his mother’s death until three years ago.

“Everything can be OK, but I really regret not talking about it,” he said. “For the first 28 years of my life, I never talked about it.”
Prince Harry hosted a barbecue for the mental health charity, Heads Together, when he opened up about his mother’s death. A friend asked the prince to talk to his children shortly after their mother committed suicide. The children feared that they were not going to be “normal” after losing their mother, but Prince Harry was able to ease those fears after sitting down with them.
“It is OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it, it is not a weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognizing it and not solving that problem,” Prince Harry said.
“I think the key message here is that everyone can suffer from mental health issues, whether you’re a member of the royal family, whether you’re a soldier, whether you’re a sports star.”
