Ordered straight to series by BET, Perry's new show, "Sistas," is about a group of girlfriends who are all single. It stars KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von and Novi Brown and is directed, written and executive produced by Perry. It films out of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
According to the tabloid site, Bailey will play a police officer who once dated one of the leads in the show. She will be in the season one finale and may appear in season two, TMZ reported.
Before getting a part on "Sistas," TMZ reported Bailey already auditioned for a Perry project, although whether it was the upcoming BET show is unclear. TMZ reported that the billboard got Bailey 20 auditions, and she booked two other gigs before getting "Sistas."
Back in June, around the time Bailey's billboard went viral, Perry asked that people not spend money on extravagant measures to get his attention and stick to auditioning.
In response to the billboard, Perry wrote on social media, "This is not the way to get my attention if you're looking for a role in one of my shows," Perry wrote in a Facebook post. "Please DON'T DO THIS, SAVE YOUR MONEY!! This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I'm sure you can use that money for a better purpose."
"Sistas" is set to air on BET in the fall.
