Never in my wildest dreams did I think upon returning to the house after our workout that we would be FOODLESS! This would be a great pop challenge… as a spectator. Nonetheless, as we put our game plan together, this was actually a fun challenge and actually a source of encouragement for me, as I had spent many nights wondering how I was going to maintain what I started on the Ranch at home. I, like many people, thought eating healthy was expensive. Boy, was I wrong. Our team killed it.

During our workout with Bob, the Blue team was informed by him that we needed to step up our intensity. As I watched that workout, I remember exactly how I was feeling as I was going through it. Before I even made the show, I had convinced myself I was ready for anything that had been thrown at me. I also made up my mind then that I wanted to ultimately win this game and be declared The Biggest Loser. During that workout, I had a gut check; did I REALLY want that to be my reality? Was I really ready to do what it took to ultimately win this game? And I have to say, it wasn’t until halfway through that week that I made up my mind that YES, that is what I want, and I am going to do EVERYTHING I had to do to see that come to fruition. Yes, week five was my turning point and was when I let all of my inhibitions go and made up my mind I was going to do whatever it took to be successful.

The challenge with the pond was great! I was very nervous about it for many reasons, one mainly being I’m not a great swimmer. Danni on the other hand has a background as a collegiate water polo player AND LIFEGUARD! It was going to take a natural disaster to keep Danni from winning this challenge, and to be honest, while the two pound advantage was a big deal, I was OK with it.

One of the things I have enjoyed the most about watching this show is to get a chance to learn more about the other contestants. To hear David’s story was so touching. On the ranch, he shared with us a little about Tiffany, but to actually see her and see his interaction with her, really touched my heart and solidified even more why I think the world of that man.

How about that Alex Reid?!?!? Week after week, I saw everyone, including myself, have a GREAT number on that scale … except for her. To be able to share that moment with her when she saw that she was NOT BROKEN was so exciting.

Eliminations are VERY HARD! Even though the Blue team soared through the weigh in, that moment is very bittersweet. Lisa and I used to co-lead the Sunday chapels on the Ranch with the other contestants. We would take turns sharing some encouragement from the Word of God as we headed into the next week. To see her leave that night was disappointing, but I knew that she would be OK. As you could see from her segment at the end, she is doing JUST fine. Way to go Lisa!
