Victoria’s Secret, according to an internal company memo, “must evolve and change to grow.”
That evolution includes the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that aired originally on ABC, before jumping to CBS. It recently returned to ABC in 2018, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Along with supermodels, the show featured musical guests like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and the Spice Girls, The New York Times reported.
The memo, from L Brands Chairman and Chief Executive Les Wexner said the company has "decided to re-think the traditional Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Going forward we don't believe network television is the right fit," CNBC reported Friday.

No specifics were given on how the show, which traditionally comes under fire for not only the steamy clothing but also the models themselves, would change. The company did say the event would be different “in ways that will push the boundaries of fashion in the global digital age.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that the show had been webcast before it was broadcast on national television.
Last year, the fashion show had its lowest ratings, USA Today reported. Officials recently announced the closure of 53 stores.
