“Chaka Khan is one of the world’s most gifted and celebrated musicians, with a rich musical legacy, the 10-time Grammy Award-winner is looking forward to a celebration of a lifetime,” according to a Rose Music Center press release.  “A songwriter, actor, author, philanthropist, entrepreneur and activist, Chaka Khan has influenced generations of recording artists. She has the rare ability to sing in seven music genres, including R&B, pop, rock, gospel, country, world music and classical.”

According to Spotify, McDonald, with his husky soulful baritone, became one of the most distinctive and popular vocalists to emerge from the laid-back California pop/ rock scene of the late ‘70s. His hits, both as a solo artist and as a member of the Doobie Brothers, include “What a Fool Believes,” “I Keep Forgettin’” and “Minute by Minute.”
