Local record store chosen as stop in the massive music marketplace series that will visit Dayton this weekend

A very special spotlight will shine on a local record store this weekend.

Discogs.com, a massive online marketplace/reference database of all types of music, has chosen Skeleton Dust Records as their next "Crate Digger" stop.

"They host a series of 'Crate Diggers' events where they partner with record stores and fairs around the world to feature interviews and promotional events on their own blog and social media outlets. My shop was chosen for this, and as far as I know I'm the only store in Ohio selected in 2018 so far," said Luke Tandy, owner of Skeleton Dust Records.

The event will run as a “mini record fair” with lots of sales and additional vendors set up. Sprouting Dreams vegetarian catering will be on site feeding diggers. Branch & Bone, South Park’s newest brewery, will be there facilitating a COMPLIMENTARY beer tasting.

Things people can look forward to at the event include: hundreds of new, used, and clearance LPs, CDs and tapes; door prizes; hands-on modular synth demo; performance by Noiseteria Emission; and additional local record vendors with rare and hard-to-find items.
