ROCKY’S RUN 5K

Miamisburg Library Park, 35 S. Fifth St.

When: Saturday, May 27 -- 9 a.m.

What: The race honors Marine Cpl. Paul "Rocky” Zanowick, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2011. Proceeds go to several charities.

HERITAGE DAY WITH THE DAYTON PHILHARMONIC

Carillon Park, 1000 Carillon Blvd., Dayton

When: Sunday, May 28, 11:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m.

What: Carillon’s collection of buildings and exhibits will be on display as a full day of entertainment is planned. The Dayton Philharmonic will close out the festivities  playing patriotic favorites.+
