From a range of eBook offerings to learning tools for kids now facing the closure of their schools, the region’s public libraries are doing their best to provide essential services in this trying time. These are the online services offered by your local library throughout these statewide closures.
📚Dayton Metro Library Branches
With branches all over the Dayton area, the Dayton Metro Library typically provides assistance to many in need throughout any given week.
Online services include a vast selection of eBooks through OverDrive, television shows and movies via Hoopla and digital magazines via RBdigital.
These services are available for the masses to check out online, provided you have a library card. Don't have a library card? No problem! Those who do not already have a Dayton Metro Library card and PIN can get an eCard online by visiting dayton.overdrive.com.
The library is also providing more information and resources related to the coronavirus pandemic that make it easier for its patrons to work from home and educate their children outside of the classroom. These resources are available by visiting daytonmetrolibrary.org.

📚Tipp City Public Library
The Tipp City Public Library will also be providing similar services to its dedicated patrons. For those stuck at home or in need in Tipp City, the library offers a vast selection of eBooks, audiobooks, music, movies and magazines via the Ohio Digital Library, online learning tools through Lynda.com, current and past articles from the Tipp City Library available via the Newsletter Archive and television shows and movies through Hoopla.
Unlike other libraries in the area, the Tipp City Public Library will remain open for those who want to take advantage of its new curbside pickup option. On Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., patrons will be able to pick up the reading materials that they previously requested by calling the library at 937-667-3826 and pressing three for the front desk.
Though the details have yet to be ironed out, the Tipp City Public Library is also hoping to be live streaming some children’s story times and interesting videos about resources offered at the library in the coming weeks.

📚Troy-Miami County Public Library Branches
Until the coronavirus pandemic is fully under control, all branches of the Troy-Miami County Public Library will be closed. This closure also includes the suspension of its bookmobile and all outreach services.
Using your library card (similar to other libraries in the area, the Troy-Miami County Public Library allows users to apply for an eCard online by visiting tmcpl.org), you can access multiple online resources, like eBooks and audiobooks via OverDrive, magazines via Flipster, television shows and movies through Hoopla and online learning tools for adults and children.

📚Greene County Public Library Branches
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, all Greene County Public Library locations will be closed until at least April 6 and library events and meetings have been canceled through April 15. However, just like other libraries throughout the area, those interested in hunkering down with a new novel can still do so by taking advantage of the library’s online resources.
Patrons (and future patrons that can receive their library eCard by visiting library.gcpl.lib.oh.us) can take advantage of reading and learning programs through Hoopla, OverDrive, LinkedIn and many other online organizations. Those working at the Washington-Centerville Public Library understand that its patrons are likely looking for ways to stay entertained during the quarantine. This is the reason behind its plethora of online offerings.
In fact, whether you're looking to stock up on new reading materials, music, movies and other media or teach yourself or your children cooped up at home a new skill, the library is poised and ready to supply you with the online resources that you'll need. Using your library card (pick up a new one by visiting ecatalog.wclibrary.info), you can access online media through Hoopla, eCollection, Freegal, Kanopy and others.
