TRIBUTES FOR FE: Week of onesie parties, tiki drinks and tattooing to pay tribute to downtown Dayton fixture

A week of onesie parties, drink specials and yoga events has been planned to honor the life of a well-known downtown fixture and support her family.

Money raised during "Celebration of Li-FE" will be given to Felicia "Fe Meier" Listermann's family to help cover her funeral cost and help support her 8-year-old son, Koen Meier, Sabrina Cox, an event organizer, said.

A native of Finneytown, Ohio, Listermann died Wednesday, Feb. 14 in Dayton. The painter and McPherson Historic District resident was 31.

Her boyfriend, Alex Hannan, described her as "love" in a statement sent to this news organization.

Here’s a part of the statement:

"Fe had a way about her that would captivate anyone she crossed paths with. She knew no strangers and went out of her way to make everyone feel involved and accepted. Her laugh was infectious and her smile would make even the coldest hearts melt away to feel her bright and shining personality. Fe was always an ear for those that needed to speak, a shoulder for those that needed to cry and would make you smile until your face hurt. She genuinely cared for everyone she met and wanted all to be successful and happy in their own lives. She judged no one for their faults and celebrated their victories. She is a person that has filled so many of our hearts and will always be a light in our lives."

Listermann was an employee of Canal Street Arcade and Deli and a past employee of Hole In The Wall, Blind Bob's Bar and other downtown and Oregon District businesses,

A public memorial service will be held for her at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at United Church of Christ in Oakley, 4100 Taylor Ave. in Cincinnati.

She taught yoga at Mike's Bike Park Tuesdays following the business' Ladies Night.

“She loved doing yoga and had poured herself entirely into it, learning all she could to find peace within herself, (and) to also share with others who shared her same interest,” Hannan said.
