“PVM runs day camp programs all over the world, and one of them is located just north of Oxford,” said Dayton Christian English teacher Danny Kloosterman. “With PVM and Dayton Christian’s mutual desire to reach students and families in the Miami Valley, a new partnership was formed to use Dayton Christian’s facilities here in Miamisburg and PVM’s program.”

“In addition to all of the outdoor adventures and fun we’ll be having, we’ll be offering opportunities for academic tutoring for those campers who need a little extra help in preparing for next school year,” said Kloosterman, who is also the day camp director. “Recently, teams of volunteers have been digging trenches, building forts, and clearing trails to transform a wooded area on DC’s campus into a paintball course and outdoor education area. When all is said and done, we’ll be uniquely prepared to offer opportunities for academic enrichment with all the fun and excitement of camp right here on the outskirts of the city.”
DC’s Miamisburg campus is located just south of the Dayton Mall at 9391 Washington Church Road near the intersection of I-75 and I-675. Rich Anglin is the CFO/director of business services at Dayton Christian, and David Maynard is the executive director of Pleasant Vineyard Ministries. PVM is a member of the Christian Camp & Conference Association. For further details about camp availability, visit www.pvmcamp.com.
Dayton Christian will be holding a Family Fun Day from noon to 4 p.m. today, with an information booth about upcoming camps, along with the other activities planned.
