Grown-up back-to-school shopping: Discount Fashion Warehouse

In just a couple of short weeks, kids across the Miami Valley will be packing their bookbags, tying their new shoes and heading off to another year of school (that is, if they haven't already -- we see you, year-round schools).

As the fresh promise of new starts slowly creep around the corner, it shouldn't be just kids that revamp their wardrobes come August.

We took a quick trip over to Discount Fashion Warehouse in Kettering to see if the rumors we've heard about the well-known brands at incredibly low prices were worth all the scuttlebutt.

Friends, THEY ARE ALL TRUE.

We found an extensive amount of women and mens causal, business and dresswear, as well as mountains of accessories, swimsuits, shoes and even undergarments all at bargain prices. We didn't find any children's clothing, but junior high and high-schoolers may find shoes or clothing.

Discount Fashion Warehouse is a clearinghouse of sorts for several mall and catalog retailers. Items are priced at a deep discount, and then further reduced based on the color of the DFWh price tag. Of course, come prepared to dig a little -- you'll find everything from pristine items to damaged/defective wear and as-is B-grade products.

All items are final sale and there are no returns, so make sure to utilize the dressing rooms (and giving each item a solid once or twice over for rips, tears, missing pieces, and/or stains) before leaving the store.

All in all, Discount Fashion Warehouse is defintely worth the time to explore and come out with some incredible deals and fashionable new outfits without breaking the budget.

This back-to-school season, don't feel bad for spending a little to refresh your own wardrobe -- especially when you can snag deals like this.
