Wide variety of DVD sets available for holiday shoppers

It’s that time of year when one of the biggest headaches can be coming up with the right gift for those on your holiday shopping list. Clothes are out because of the troubles with matching sizes and taste. Food is a no-go because of diets. Electronic items can be too expensive.

One solution is to pick up one of the many DVD sets that are available. All you need to know is what kind of TV shows or movies the person watches, and there is a set that will match the passion. Plus, watching DVDs never caused weight gain and the prices are varied enough to fit most budgets.

“2017 World Series Collector’s Edition: Houston Astros” (DVD $59.99, Blu-ray $79.97): The eight-disc set covers every inning, every play and every moment from the 2017 Fall Classic. “Spider-Man Limited Edition Collection” ($29.96): The trilogy from director Sam Raimi follows Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) as he becomes the web-slinging Spider-Man and battles super-villains Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman and Venom.
