Emergency crews briefly closed the highway on northbound Interstate 75 near Stanley Avenue after a vehicle hit a police cruiser while it was responding to another crash at around 5:30 a.m.

No injuries have been reported, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch records. Records said that the cruiser was responding to a crash already at that location when the cruiser was struck, though it was unclear whether the officer was in the cruiser at the time of the crash.

In scanner traffic we heard that the initial report was of a vehicle crashing into the wall, and that one of the vehicles was leaking fuel.

Dispatchers confirmed that the fire department was called to help with a fuel leak.

We are working to learn more and will update this report with any new information.
