Man sentenced to up to 7½ years in prison in Xenia rape case

A 25-year-old Xenia man pleaded guilty to rape Thursday in Greene County Common Pleas Court.

Eladio Jimenez was immediately sentenced to 5 to 7½ years in prison by Judge Adolfo Tornichio, Greene County Prosecutor David Hayes announced in a release.

Jimenez was convicted of raping a woman with whom he was acquainted at her home during the evening hours of Nov. 17, 2020, according to facts of the case.

He also was labeled a Tier III sexual offender, which means that once he is released he must register his address with his local sheriff’s office every 90 days for the rest of his life.

Jimenez is a Mexican citizen who may be subject to deportation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement once he serves his prison term, the release stated.
