Argument between driver, passengers causes rollover crash on U.S. 35

UPDATE @ 12:40 a.m.

All lanes of westbound U.S. 35 reopened around 12:30 a.m.

UPDATE @ 11:40 p.m.

An argument led to a crash that shut down U.S. 35 West between Steve Whalen Boulevard and South Keowee Street.

The highway is expected to reopen sometime after midnight, according to Dayton police on scene.

Three people were in the vehicle when the driver lost control while arguing with one of the passengers. All three were conscious when they were taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of injuries described as not life-threatening.


A car on its top has shut down all westbound lanes of U.S. 35 between South Keowee Street and Steve Whalen Boulevard.

The crash was reported shortly before 11 p.m.

Two medics were called to the scene, but it’s not clear how severe injuries may be or what led to the crash.
