Austin Landing’s developer is seeking to implement a speed limit.
Traffic flow has been a concern at the 142-acre mixed-use complex in Miami Twp. and a 25-mile per hour speed limit is being sought, said Larry Dillin, president of VisCap Development, which manages Austin Landing.
“We want to institute that as a safety precaution,” Dillin said.

He said township officials have been asked to approve the speed limit. The plan comes as work is set to begin on the installation of a traffic signal within the complex at Austin Boulevard and Ohio 741 that is home to about 2,500 jobs.
Dillin said work on the traffic light – first approved in 2015 – is targeted to begin this week. It will be located at the Landing Way/Liverpool Lane intersection between Kroger and Kohl’s near the Ohio 741 entrance.
