Coronavirus: Coroner identifies second resident of Koester Pavilion who died awaiting test result

The Miami County Coroner’s Office has identified the second resident of Koester Pavilion who died while waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test.

Glenn Witters died a day before his 84th birthday, the coroner said.

Witters test for the coronavirus is still pending.

He is the second resident of Koester Pavilion in Troy to have died while waiting on the results of the coronavirus test.

Earl Bolinger, 93, died at Upper Valley Medical Center, according to his granddaughter Andrea Lee. She said the test results weren’t 100 percent confirmed, but family is almost positive it was coronavirus.
