Deputies close U.S. 127 near Camden due to semi accident

UPDATE @ 10:25 a.m.

U.S. 127 remains closed near Gasper Somers Road following a semi crash Saturday morning, according to dispatchers.

Dispatchers said the highway will be opened later today.

UPDATE @ 6:46 a.m. 

U.S. 127 near Gasper Somers Rd. will be closed for the next three hours due to a semi accident, according to Preble County deputies.

Both lanes of U.S. 127 are closed, and deputies are currently working on finding a detour.

Deputies confirmed this was a non-injury accident.


Preble Co. crews and medics are on scene of a semi reportedly on its side on U.S. 127 near Gasper Somers Road. 

The semi is across the roadway and has blocked traffic, according to the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

Initial reports indicate the semi was on its side against a telephone pole, and there was possible injury.
