2 homes catch on fire Saturday evening

A home in Springfield and another in Fairborn caught fire Saturday evening, according to dispatch reports.

One fire was reported in the 170 block of North Bird Road in Springfield where Ohio Edison was requested to the scene.

A second fire was reported in the 1600 block of Wilbur Avenue in Fairborn.

Both fires are under control and no injuries were reported.

The cause of each fire has not yet been determined.
