A three-vehicle crash in Darke County caused one car to overturn, sending three people to the hospital, including an infant.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 127 and state Route 503, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
Preliminary investigation reveals that Shawna Osbourne, 19, of Greenville, was traveling south on U.S. 127 in a 2013 blue Ford Fusion when she attempted to turn southeast onto state Route 503 at the same time that Diane Dixon, 33, of Ansonia, was traveling north in a 2002 red Buick LeSabre.
The two vehicles collided, causing Osbourne’s vehicle to overturn and crash into a third vehicle at a stop sign on state Route 503 facing northwest. The third vehicle was a 2004 white GMC Yukon driven by Travis Hines, 25, of Winchester, Indiana.
Arcanum rescue took Osbourne to Wayne Hospital for minor injuries. Dixon and her 8-month-old child, who also was in the vehicle, were taken to Wayne Hospital to be treated. Details of their injuries have not been released.
The New Madison fire department, Tri Village rescue and Arcanum rescue also responded to the scene of the crash, which remains under investigation.
