West Virginia youth is 2 millionth rider on Kings Island roller coaster

A West Virginia youth was the two millionth rider on Mystic Timbers--a roller coaster at Kings Island Saturday afternoon, according to Kings Island Area Manager Don Helbig.

Braydan Dunkley, 8, of Poco, West Virginia, was accompanied by his mother, Danielle Dunkley.

He was awarded a souvenir piece of wood from the ride, a Mystic Timbers tote bag, front of the line passes, complimentary blue ice cream, and tickets to return to Kings Island in the fall to experience The Great Pumpkin Fest and Halloween Haunt.

Mystic Timbers was voted “Best New Ride” in 2017 by Amusement Today, and is a story-driven attraction themed to an abandoned lumber company and traverses 16 airtime hills through wooded terrain and over water along 3,265 feet of track at speeds up to 53 mph.
