Butler County animal shelter offers special deal on Black Friday

The Animal Friends Humane Society is holding its own Black Friday event on Nov. 24 to encourage potential pet owners to adopt black cats and dogs, who are often overlooked.

The animal shelter’s 9th annual Black Friday Adoption event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Predominantly black dogs will be available for adoption for $25 (includes a county license). All cats and kittens will be $5, and all other dogs in the shelter will be 50 percent off.

Santa Claus will be at the Animal Friends Humane Society from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 25-26. Stop by with family and pets, to have a photo taken with Santa. Professional photos will be taken. The price is $20 per sheet or three sheets for $50. A sheet is one 8x10, two 5x7 or eight wallets.
