That was the mindset of a California man who surfed on a flooded Oceanside street during Thursday's rainstorm, KNSD reported. Viral videos show Lukas Soelberg, 19, being towed through the flooded street, his surfboard attached to an SUV driven by his father on the Coast Highway, the television station reported.

"I was just hitting the tail," Soelberg told KNSD. "It was grinding on the ground the whole time. Oh, no keep moving but it ended up pretty good."

Soelberg said he and his father jumped into the vehicle and decided to navigate the waters.

"(I) jumped in the Suburban, grabbed some rope and the paddle board. It was all clogged up all the roads, the back streets, everything, so we popped out the back, grabbed the board -- Go go go!" Soelberg told KNSD. "No one tried to stop us. We waved by the lifeguards, they were like, 'Yay,' and we were like, 'Yay, no one's stopping us,"

No one was injured during the surfing stunt, the television station reported.
