County fair season: What's happening near you

Fair season is in full swing throughout Ohio. Here are some events that are ongoing or coming up in the region to help you enjoy the summer. Click on a fair's name to visit its website for more information.

Clark County Fair (July 22-29)

Key performances to come include Country music's Phil Vassar on Wednesday, The Temps on Thursday and Saving Pluto on Friday in the Big Tent. The theme is “Sew It, Grow It, Show It.”

Butler County Fair (July 24-30)

Upcoming highlights include today's Central Ohio Sanctioned Tractor Pull & Open Tractors, Wednesday's Rolling Stone Rodeo, Thursday's Tractor & Truck Pull NTPA Pull, Friday's Demolition Derby and Saturday's World's Greatest Cowboy/Cowgirl Competition.

Preble County Fair (July 31-Aug. 6)

Camping, County Idol, Demolition Derby, Tractor Pull, ATV Drag, Rodeo, Tug a Truck, Lawn Mower Derby, and so much more.

Greene County Fair (July 31-Aug. 6)

The fair will include Granger Smith with special guest Clark Manson in concert on Aug. 2. Check the full scheudle for all of the week's events.

Champaign County Fair (Aug. 5-12)

Scott McCreery will perform on Aug. 5 as part of the week's events, and a full slate of truck and tractor pulls will take place on Aug. 6. Motor sports events will include the antique tractors, tractors and mini modified tractors event on Aug. 8, NTPA Regional National Truck/Tractor Pull on Aug. 10 and Smash it Demolition Derby on Aug. 12.

Miami County Fair (Aug. 12-18)

Chris Janson with special guard Carter Winter will perform on Aug. 14 in the middle of a week of events that includes Kids Day on Aug. 15, First Responder Day on Aug. 16 and Armed Forces Day on Aug. 17.

Darke County Fair (Aug. 19-27)

Chicago will perform on Aug. 21 with seven scheduled harness racing sessions over four days and two days of tractor pulls on Aug. 23-24.

Montgomery County Fair (Aug. 31-Sept. 5)

Grandstand entertainment will include harness racing on Aug. 31, rodeo on Sept. 2, tractor pull on Sept. 3 and Smash It Demolition Derby on Sept. 4.
