The Albaugh family in Miami County said someone shot at their animals sometime Dec. 8 from the road near their home.

One of the cows had to be put down right away. The second was taken to Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital, but Dixie Albaugh said her injuries were too damaging for them to save her or her unborn calf.

The cows were special breeder cows worth about $10,000 each, Albaugh said.

The family told us the Miami County Sheriff's Office is working to get fingerprints off the arrows they recovered.
