4 accused in burglary at Dayton home

Four people were arrested on suspicion of burglary Wednesday morning when they were found to have stolen property including jewelry, a laptop and flat screen TVs in their vehicle.

The vehicle was located on Free Pike, but police determined that the items had been taken from a home on Kumler Avenue that was burglarized the night before.

The resident at that home identified most of the goods as hers, but said some of jewelry didn't belong to her.

Cleveland Sumerlin, 19, Kenyatta Rhames, 27, and Brandon McLean, 18, were all booked into the Montgomery County Jail pending charges of burglary. Byron Pope, 20, could be facing charges of burglary, falsification and obstructing official business.
