Arrest made in robbery-assault at Huber Heights apt.

An arrest has been made in a robbery-assault at an apartment on Hilgeford Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Huber Heights police Lt. Mark Lightner announced the arrest at about 9:45 p.m., but said no other information would be released until after charges are filed Wednesday. Hours before, the police department had asked for the public's help to find a green Chevrolet S10 Blazer seen leaving an apartment in the 5000 block of Hilgeford right after the incident.

Four adults at the apartment said they were robbed of property and cash by three assailants who took off in the Blazer, Lightner said.

One of the victims was assaulted, said Lightner, who did not make it clear whether that person required a trip to a hospital. Police responded to the apartment building just before 4 p.m.

The people who said they were robbed told police they know one of the three assailants. The residents told police the assailant they know was visiting with them when that person suddenly announced that the three of them were going to rob the place.

The Blazer, which was waiting for them, was driven by a fourth assailant, Lightner said.

Lightner did not release any information as to whether weapons were involved in the incident.

Anyone who has information about this incident is asked to call Lightner at (937) 237-3596 or email him at mlightner@hhoh.org.
