Partin is accused of shaking Hannah Wesche on Thursday morning, March 8. The girl remains hospitalized and is not expected to recover.
At about 7 a.m. that day, Hanover Twp. emergency crews and Butler County detectives responded to Partin’s residence for an unconscious child. They found Hannah unresponsive with labored breathing, according to the sheriff’s office. There were obvious bruises about her head and face.
Hannah was flown to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. After further investigation, detectives and hospital personnel noted additional bruising on the child’s body. Partin admitted to striking the child and stated she had fallen and struck her head on the concrete garage floor the previous day.
Hannah’s family has said the accused was a “perfect babysitter on paper.”

“We know she is not going to make it. We are waiting for medicine to wear off so they can do an examination,” Jason Wesche, Hannah’s father, said on Wednesday.
Wesche and Hannah’s aunt, Megan Latham, said they are disturbed by some of the comments on social media pointing fingers at the family for leaving the toddler with Partin.
During an initial arraignment on Monday, Partin’s defense attorney Melynda Cook Howard pointed out the defendant had no criminal background and has strong family ties to Butler County.
Partin is scheduled to be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on April 9.
