Broken windows reported at Dayton church

Police are investigating a vandalism complaint after another area church’s windows were broken a few days before Easter.

The damage was reported at 11 p.m. Friday at Memorial United Church of Christ, 2338 E. Fifth St. in Dayton.

Three window were broken, including two storm windows and a stained glass window, according to the police report.

The officer contacted the church secretary and told her that someone three rocks at the church, damaging some windows.

The estimated damage was $400, according to the report.

There are no suspects at this time.

This is at least the fourth place of worship in Dayton to report vandalism this year. It is not clear if there is any connection to the incidents.
