Caller threatens to blow up Middletown McDonald’s

The manager told police she received a call at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday from “a potentially disgruntled person” who was angry because he couldn’t get into the restaurant.

The man said: “After tonight there will not be a McDonald’s on Breiel anymore,” according to the police report. The man then called back and said: “Boom.”

The manager told police the person called six times, and several times stayed on the phone, then hung up. The phone number was private and didn’t show a caller ID, she said.

There were no earlier problems at the restaurant with any customers, the manager told police.
