Charges pending in serious injury crash in Clayton

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Dayton Post is investigating a crash in Clayton that sent a 31-year-old man to the hospital with serious injuries.

The single-vehicle crash was dispatched at 2:48 a.m. Sunday on Dog Leg Road, according to a release from OSP.

A white 2000 Acura TL was eastbound when it missed a curve and drove off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and rolled onto its top, according to the release.

Darren Jones, of Dayton, was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the release.

The patrol said charges are pending toxicology results to determine if alcohol was a factor.
