Dayton man to be arraigned on abduction, robbery charges

A 38-year-old Dayton man is scheduled to be arraigned today on charges including four counts of abduction, two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, one count of trespassing and two counts of having weapons while under disability for prior violent offenses, each with a three-year firearm specification.

The charges are related to an incident  where Chad Barnes allegedly abducted and robbed a man, woman and two children. He is also accused of trespassing in a home in the 300 block of Lawncrest Avenue in Jefferson Township on the same day.

Barnes is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail. His arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
