The man told police he never had a Verizon account, and that his cellphone service is through Cricket, according to a Dayton police report.

Verizon told him he’d have to file a police report.

The victim said this was the first correspondence Verizon sent him about this account, and that he has no idea who someone was able to use his name to buy two new phones and service for them, the report stated.
