Dayton police help Mich. authorities find buried infant

The parents of an infant whose body was found buried in Michigan are being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

Brittani Hill, 22, and Timothy D. Young, 24, were being held for authorities in Jackson County, Michigan, according to jail records.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from the Dayton Police Department contacted the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on July 22 in regards to a possible child death in Jackson County.

Dayton police learned from the child’s parents “critical information” used the next day to locate the child’s body buried in the back yard of residence in the 12000 block of Tophith Road in Waterloo Township in Jackson County, according to the press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

“The body of an infant was located in a shallow grave with the assistance of Dayton Police Detectives,” according to the release.

Young and Hill are awaiting extradition to Michigan.
