It was firefighters’ second trip to the home in four hours, and they suspect arson.
The suspected arsonist initially attempted to set the house on fire by throwing flammable objects through the kitchen window just before 1 a.m. Wednesday, fire officials said. However, the fire was put out with a fire extinguisher.
The home owner left the home at that time, but did not take the dog, firefighters said.
Just before 5 a.m. the house was set on fire again when a flammable object was thrown in the the living room, fire officials said, adding that there are not suspects at this time.
