Dustup over Facebook gets boy jabbed with scissors

He was taken to Dayton Children's Hospital by family members from the incident on Malvern Avenue. Police and a medic unit were dispatched there just after 7 p.m. on a report of a stabbing.

A Dayton police sergeant said the boy became upset when his mother wanted his access to the social media site cut off.

Still upset, he went inside the home and family members believed he was a threat to them. A younger family member, believing the boy might do harm to someone in the home, jabbed him in the shoulder area, the sergeant said.

No one was taken into custody.

The boy's wound was not believed to be serious.
