Fight in West Chester sends one to hospital

A 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after a fight broke out in West Chester Twp.

Township spokeswoman Barb Wilson said police received several calls around 10 p.m. about a fight on Mill Creek Circle. She said some of the callers reported there had been a shooting, but a police investigation found that was not the case.

“It was a bit hectic there on Mill Creek Circle,” she said. “One 17-year-old male was transported to West Chester Hospital with non-threatening injuries. Not a gunshot wound but was injured in some manner.”

Police are investigating an assault charge and have a couple suspects, according to Wilson.
