Judge Wolaver sentenced Dixon to five years community control Friday morning and ordered her to register as a Tier III sex offender.

Dixon will have to register her address with the sheriff’s office every three months for the rest of her life.

The victim’s mother attended Friday’s sentencing and thanked for the court for taking the charges involving Dixon seriously.
Police opened an investigation into the former attendance secretary In September 2018 after receiving a report of a “possible sexual complaint” involving a 17-year-old high school student.
The incident was alleged to have happened in a parking lot in the 500 block of Newport Road sometime between Aug. 20 and Sept. 14, 2018, according to the police report.

Dixon was put an administrative leave and resigned from her position about 11 days later on Sept. 25, 2018.
