Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing the National Bank here Thursday morning.
At 9:50 a.m., a white male entered the bank, at 1400 E. Second St., and handed the teller a note demanding money, Franklin police said.
The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a blue winter jacket, sunglasses, dark pants and a hat that possibly bore an Ohio State University emblem, police said. He also had dark facial hair.
A second person was initially believed to be involved as a getaway driver, but police later said the robber acted alone. The suspect fled in a small white four-door vehicle headed east on Second Street.
On Thursday afternoon, police released to media outlets a photo of the suspect, which was taken from surveillance video.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to contact Franklin police at (937) 746-2882.
