A Louisville man is in the Butler County Jail after allegedly meeting a minor and having sexual conduct with the 14-year-old girl.

According to Hamilton police, Nathaniel Covington, 20, traveled from Kentucky to meet the girl who was a runaway from Dayton.

Covington allegedly spent the week with the teen girl, according to the police report. He was charged July 15 with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and contributing to the unruliness of a child.

Police say Covington also gave officers a false name, birth date and social security number and was additionally charged with obstructing official business.

Bond was set at $15,000 for Covington in Hamilton Municipal Court.
