The affidavit states that James Hancock, the teen’s father, verbally consented to the search of their home. The two-story, single-family home, any land or structures attached to the home and any people or vehicles present were searched at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Investigators searched and seized any and all items relating to or leading up to the shooting at Madison High School, the application and affidavit for search warrant reads. Those items could include guns, ammunition, gun boxes, computers, tablets, phones, any electronic devices capable of storing any social networking sites, media cards, letters, journals, diaries, any articulable thoughts leading up to the shooting whether in print or digital form, safe or lock box.
Items actually taken from the home included:
- 4 BB containers various vendors
- 1 red notebook
- 3 pocket knives
- 1 Apple smart phone with orange-blue cover
- 1 computer tablet with black case
- 1 BB gun with magazine
- 2 black BB magazines
- 1 S/W knife
- 1 white Emerson stylus
- 1 black iPad (on floor of master room)
- 1 silver Mac book pro-Apple (master room)
