The injuries were not life-threatening and he's expected to recover, said Dayton Sgt. Justin Poe.
Poe said an anonymous caller reported a fight at the location. Shattered glass littered the pavement as police initially preserved the scene awaiting a report on the victim's condition.
Police were working to learn what happened and why. Investigators hope to review store surveillance to capture images of those involved.
