A man was arrested after he was suspected of shooting out all the windows of a vehicle on Republic Drive this morning.
Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Republic at an apartment in the Northland Village Apartments around 12:30 a.m. after getting reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival investigators located a maroon Pontiac Grand Am with its windows busted out, which deputies said was from gunfire.
A short time after arriving on the scene, deputies found the suspect, Jamychael Carpenter, 20, in the 800 block of Embassy Place, where he was taken into custody.
A gun and several bullets were recovered from the scene during the investigation, deputies said.
No injuries were reported during the incident and an investigation is being conducted by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
