Man shot in leg during altercation at Fairfield apartment complex

An 18-year-old was shot early Monday morning in a parking lot of the Villages of Wildwood in Fairfield.

Police said responding officers found Vincent P. Carr, of Adams Circle E, with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to University Hospital by ambulance. Police were called to the apartment complex at 12:25 a.m. Monday.

Carr was shot after an altercation in the parking lot, according to police.

Police said the case is still under investigation and they will release information when it becomes available.
