The suspects reportedly had a crowbar and took the drawer from a cash register from the Taco Bell, at the corner of Woodman Drive and Airway Road. The restaurant was open at the time, police said.
The suspects were described as two males. One wore a black mask and a maroon hooded sweatshirt, and the second suspect wore a white hockey mask and a gray hoodie, according to initial reports.
A K-9 unit from Miamisburg also responded to the scene.
Police said the robbers were in and out of the lobby within about 30 seconds.
Riverside police said they also received information from Dayton police that employees at Cassano’s Pizza reported that two masked men tried to open the doors to the business on Smithville about 15 minutes earlier, but were unable to get inside because the restaurant was closed.
