Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit on Ridge Avenue 

UPDATE@ 4:20 a.m.

Police say a man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Ridge Avenue late Friday. 

The vehicle reportedly struck the man while he was walking, and then fled the scene.

UPDATE @ 2:35 a.m. 

Ridge Avenue between Oakley Place and Main Street has been cleared after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle there late Friday. 


A Dayton police accident reconstruction team is investigating a crash that happened late Friday involving a pedestrian.

Ridge Avenue is now shut down after a male was struck by a vehicle around 11:45 p.m. on Ridge Avenue between Oakley Place and Main Street.

The pedestrian was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His name, age and condition were not immediately available.
