Piqua gas station robber takes more than cash

Shortly after 10 a.m. today, a male robbed the Starfire Gas Station on South County 25-A at the south edge of Piqua.

The robber demanded cash and forced the lone female clerk into a back room, according to police.

No weapon was displayed and no one was injured, but the robber pushed the victim’s face so she wouldn’t look at him.

The robber fled with an undetermined amount of cash. He also took the store’s video surveillance equipment.

Piqua police are looking for witnesses.

The clerk reported seeing a light colored car, possibly one with some primer paint on it. It was in the parking lot prior to the robbery.

The robber is described as a white male, 5-feet-10-inches, very thin with greased back dirty blond hair.

He has a tatoo on the left side of his face and a skull and cross tatoo on his arms.

The robber was last seen wearing a dark-colored short sleeve shirt and light, possibly gray, cotton or similar shorts.
