Multiple businesses and customers called police Sunday evening about an apparently drunken man who was causing a disturbance and threatening customers at a Linden Avenue shopping center.

One man told police that the suspect, later identified as 52-year-old Lewis Pullon Jr., confronted him inside the $1.00 Store, 3846 Linden Ave. He said Pullon threw merchandise at him, which struck his left shoulder, followed him to his car and threatened him, according to a Dayton police report.

One woman said she couldn't leave the dollar store because Pullon was walking up and down, yelling obscenities and making gestures. She said he chased a woman and her child, according to a Dayton police report.

An employee of a business said Pullon was kicked out, and that he threw something at a vehicle in the parking lot and was putting objects underneath vehicles in the lot, the report stated.

Dayton police, who responded around 6 p.m., reported that Pullon appeared highly intoxicated, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

After they arrested Pullon, they reported that while inside the back of a police cruiser, Pullon made several threats of violence against officers as well.

Pullon remains in the Montgomery County Jail, where he was booked on suspicion of assault, menacing and for possible parole violations, jail records shiow.
