A woman is in custody accused of the lunchtime robbery of a U.S. Bank branch.

Jordan Richardson, 22, of Dayton, entered the bank around 12:30 p.m. today on East Central Avenue. She was nabbed just a few blocks away from the bank, which remained closed the rest of the day.

“She pretty much gave herself up,” said Nicholas Wardell of Miamisburg who witnessed her arrest from his front porch.

Police said Richardson handed a note to a teller demanding money, and that she ran from the bank with a bag full of money.

Today’s incident was the second robbery at the bank branch in the past month, with three suspects arrested.

“I will say this … the last two people that have robbed this bank on Central Avenue have been taking into custody within a matter of hours,” said Miamisburg police Capt. Tom Thompson.

A month ago today, police were at the same bank investigating a robbery. Now, Jozie Barcy and Myron Mullins are charged in that heist. Barcy turned herself later that day, and officers arrested Mullins a few days later following a standoff at a Butler Twp. motel.
