Riverside nurse indicted in Miami Valley Hospital drug theft case

A Riverside woman was indicted Wednesday on multiple charges involving drug thefts from Miami Valley Hospital.

Chelsea Lynn Cooper, 27, a registered nurse, is ordered to appear June 27 for her arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Cooper faces 11 felony charges, including 10 counts of theft of drugs and one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound for incidents between Sept. 1, 2018, and Jan. 16, according to her grand jury indictment.

Cooper is a registered nurse formerly employed by Miami Valley Hospital whose license — not set to expire until Oct. 31, 2019 — is inactive, according to the Ohio Board of Nursing website. No board action has been taken.
